Tasso White Marble

Tasso White Marble originates from the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of over 3,000 meters—the “Roof of the World” and a historic crossroads of civilizations.Along the legacy of the Silk Road, this land carries the elegance of Persian culture and the grandeur of royal heritage. Its extreme altitude and pristine natural environment give Milano White a translucent, jade-like texture and a rarity that cannot be replicated.Within the global white marble category, Tasso White stands alongside Calacatta Marble and Oriental White Marble, distinguished by its exceptional quality and consistent performance—making it an ideal choice for high-end architecture and luxury spaces.

Purity

Formed in a glacial-fed environment above 3,000 meters, far from industrial influence. Water remains in its purest state, nearly drinkable.

Over time, it develops a refined, jade-like texture.

Born from the Silk Road

Rarity

Located along the historic Silk Road, with a Persian cultural context.

The quarry lies in a high-altitude border region (near Afghanistan), where natural and logistical conditions are highly restrictive.

Limited resource, with less than 1% yield.

Our Quarry History

In 2015, PFM entered Tajikistan through a project collaboration with a client from the Pamir Plateau, initiating its involvement in local stone resource development. In the following years, PFM invested in quarry exploration and engaged international teams, though large-scale production remained challenging due to harsh high-altitude conditions. After eight years, PFM achieved a breakthrough, successfully developing high-quality white marble—Tasso White—and establishing an integrated system from quarrying to processing. Today, Tasso White is gaining international recognition in high-end architectural and interior applications.
2015

In 2015, during a Tajikstan SPA project collaboration, PFM founder Susan Chan built client trust through a strong sense of responsibility, and advanced the partnership from project execution to stone resource development, laying the foundation for subsequent quarry projects.

2017

In our quest for the perfect stone materials, we journeyed to many remote locations—some accessible only by tractor, others with narrow paths flanked by cliffs and steep walls. Our exploration led us across countless terrains until we discovered the White Stone Mountain range in the north.

2018

In 2018, PFM formally signed a quarry cooperation agreement with its partners and mobilized teams to the site, initiating mining operations.

2020-2022

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was delayed. To restart the mining project, Susan decided to venture to the quarry alone, and this trip revealed the mine’s boundless potential. The locals, in gratitude for my efforts to advance the project during the pandemic, presented me with gifts, further solidifying my relationship with them.

2024

In 2024, the quarry successfully launched operations, and by June, PFM produced its first batch of stone. Over the years, every time I visit, I make a point to come to the quarry, and it brings me great joy to see it improving continuously.

2025

PFM established the VANJ Marble Processing Factory in Tajikistan, a 40,000 m² facility located 50 km from the Tasso White quarry. The plant enables full-chain production from block processing to finished products, marking a key step in integrating quarry resources with international markets.
